BROADSWORD REUNION 2012

Friday 25th May 19:00 Informal get together for anyone who is making a weekend of it, which hopefully lots of you will. Meeting up in the Union Rooms in Plymouth at 1900 followed by some beer tasting around all those old haunts from when you were serving.

Dockyard and Warships trip from Jupiter Point departs at 10:00am There is only 23 spaces for this so on a first come first served basis please email webmaster@hmsbroadsword.co.uk if you wish to come, confirmation will be sent back for the first 23. Please make your own way to Jupiter Point which is about a mile away from Torpoint town center, see map.

Saturday 26th 14:00 AGM in the warrant and senior rates mess HMS Drake

Saturday 26th May 19:30 The 2012 Reunion will take place in the Warrant Officer and Senior rates mess HMS Drake. The evening will be a formal event consisting of a three course meal.  
Dress: Serving Personnel: Mess undress  non serving: Lounge suit/suit MEDALS to be worn Women: Dress/trouser suit
As well as this being our bi-annual reunion, it is also the 30th Anniversary of the Falklands conflict.
Captain Bill Canning will be standing down from his position of president after 18 years, a great chance for one and all to show there appreciation for all he has done for the association.

The Deal:
The room rate is £80 for a standard twin/double inclusive of breakfast and VAT.
An upgrade is available for a supplement payment of £30 per night to a more superior room with wifi, bar, dressing gowns, luxury toiletries etc. All rooms are non-smoking.
Room rate and terms are fixed, individuals are responsible for their own accounts and payment can be made, either by cheque/cash on arrival or alternatively on departure by card (imprint taken by reception on arrival).

Online deals will fluctuate in price, always becoming more expensive nearer to holidays, city events and the summer season. The manager expects the hotel to be full like it is every year around May/June time.
