BROADSWORD ASSOCIATION
GUESTBOOK

Scott Harrow   05/Aug/2002:22:42:49
First time I've looked at the site since just after the last reunion...
great job Spider, it's really looking good!
As usual, I've left it to the last minute to sort myself out for the
2002 reunion but do intend to be there... confirmation and menu's on
the way!

Shiner Wright... you were looking to contact Lee Porter, I have a
couple of e-mail addresses for him. If you e-mail me I'll pass them on.

Tanzy... would have made the Falklands reunion, but was working in
Zurich at the time and just couldn't work it into the schedule. Maybe
I'll make the 50th. :o)

Looking forward to seeing the usual suspects in Chester and hopfully
some familiar faces that haven't been to the previous events.

Aye yours
Scott

Hi Guys,
A Great site.I must be one of a few of the older Broadsword
members.Having come across your site thought I'd add a word or two.
I was aboard her May'61 to 2 '63.During our stint in the Med,as has
been mentioned previously we had a shaft bearing problem.which on being
repaired was not up to spec on a high speed run.We all had DT's in the
After Messdecks!.The Buzz was we're going home, and we did!.Just before
Christmas too.She went to Medway to be broken up.Nice to see a
Broadsword back in business.Keep it going Fellah's.Good Sailing.

Tanzy Lee   10/Jul/2002:21:19:33
To reiterate what Charlie has said...A fantastic day at the Falklands
20th Aniv do. Great to see the troops and the boys from the Cov.
However, very disappointed at only 9 (nine), yes 9 Broadswords in
attendance. Come lads, it means more than that? Capt Bill Canning has
had a heart attack but is OK. He hopes to be able to attend Chester in
Nov with his, and I quote, 'CHERISED SHIPS COMPANY'. I think it would
take wild horses, but I don't think the horses would win. What a man.
If anyone wants to send regards/best wishes to Bill, please do so
through me.

Cheers Ship Wrecks

Tanz.

Greetings to all ex Broadsworders, but particulraly to those who
remember coming to Chester and meeting us here. I think that I was the
only female Lord Mayor who had the pleasure of sailing with Broadsword
in 1994.

We shall hope to see many of you in Chester in November.

Margaret
